Manchet candleholder is made from solid brass and is considered a messing lysestage. The surface is polished, but not treated with antioxidation lacquer. This means that you at any given moment can polish your candleholder – If you ask us, we prefer our patinated Manchet Candleholders in our office, over the new out of the box candleholders.
Manchet candleholders has a timeless aesthetics. The design is simple and clean, yet the warmth of the brass and the passing of time, will contribute with something rich and almost alive. As time passes the Manchet candleholder blends into the interior, due to that the oxidation of brass. The design will look softer in time, when the lines aren’t as defined by the reflections of the shiny brass.
The Manchet candle holders is an ode to the Manchet buttons on a classic suit.

The idea of that this little detail on a very subtle and discreet piece of clothing, kind of changes the experience of the suit as a whole, was very interesting to us.

THE TALE
Manchet is a contemporary candle holder design, and as something new you can choose between a Manchet spun in either brass or steel. The two materials behave completely opposite of each other, but both versions are able to stand the test of time in their own way: Where steel is a stable material resulting in a durable candle holder, the unvarnished brass creates a dynamic candle holder that changes little by little as the brass patinates, making this Manchet more interesting to look at as time passes.
Candle holders and other accessories are what distinguish your home and set you apart – in other words, accessories tell your story. With the brass version of Manchet, we mean this quite literally: The brass oxidizes differently depending on the home it lives in and the residents who touch it. This creates a unique candle holder with its very own tale that begins as soon as it is taken out of the box – and we are convinced two identically patinated Manchets do not exist.
