glass pendant cafe lamp with a twist
Bright Spot & Cultural capital
Bright Spot is a glass pendant designed for Aarhus Airport as a part of a comprehensive renovation. When Aarhus was nominated European Capital of Culture 2017, Aarhus Airport decided to rebrand itself. More than 200 Bright Spots is lighting up the halls and walkways in the airport today.
The Bright Spot is the founding member of Nordic Tales’ glass lamps. This lamp was first showcased in Paris and has since been sold all over the world.
The Bright Spot glass pendant provides a soft and diffuse light. The glass is mouth blown by skilled craftsmen and the surface of the glass is soft as linen. The surface has been treated in order to minimize reflections. This creates an almost flat look.
A mouth blown glass pendant
This pendant, like most other Nordic Tales pendants comes with a E27 socket, that allows you to choose the bulb that fits your needs. It is possible to dim the lamp, and this way you have a lot of usage possibilities. Bright Spot can be a part of an enclave of lamps in a larger installation, but it also has some poetic quality when it appears on its own, in a corner of a bedroom or as a reading light near a lounge chair or sofa.
The Bright Spot lamp has a diameter of 20 centimeters and this way it fits most places, both in offices in bigger enclaves, but also at home in a cosy setting.
Bright spot can be found anywhere from Norway to australia. It has been favored for high profile architectural projects around the world and it is one of our staff picks
