Poet Desk is the story of exclusive furniture. It is a desk whereby thoughts and creativity can unfold and generate new ideas and projects. The table is an ode to classical Scandinavian handcrafted furniture in which quality in materials and detail is highly prioritized.
Poet is more than just a desk. It is a tool equal to your computer and your coffee mug. Poet, besides from the primary desktop, has two built-in shelves and a drawer where you can store your notes and pens. This way, your desk always appears tidy and clean. Legs and desktop are wedged together and eliminate the need for superfluous materials and components.
The idea of Poet came alive during the designers’ stay at the school of joiners in Copenhagen, Denmark. The table honors solid craftsmanship and at the same time fulfills contemporary wishes of a simple and functional design.
Poet Desk is ideal for the modern day home office, not only due to its fine lines and domestic materials, but in particular due to that it is compact, yet spacious.

Bright Breeze
a study in natural diversity
Bright Breeze is based on two layers of mouth blown glass; one defining the outer contour, the other providing a distinguished inside.
Every lamp is unique, yet framed by the same outer lines. This hints at the natural diversity we find in nature, where a species follow the same guidelines, but are different at individual level.
Bright Breeze appear to be uniting both baroque and classic qualities. The outer layer of glass creates a strong uniform geometric shape, and contrary to this, the inner layer is organic and appears warm and liquid.
The Bright Breeze project seeks to explore the boundaries we define in order to distinguish and separate the things that surrounds us. What do we consider similar and different, and can something be different and similar at one and the same time?

Every single Bright Barocco is a unique glass lamp. The lamp is a result of a desire to introduce an element of randomness in our design. We believe that randomness and unforeseen events can serve as a case of serendipity.
For us personally it is also exciting to unwrap a Bright Barocco, since we have set the rules but not decided on the outcome. This is something that enriches our experience of the product. Suddenly the glass appears to have qualities like wood, which also contributes with an element of surprise. Furthermore the fact that every Bright Barocco is unique, enriches the project with a human factor. The touch of hand in other words.
The Barocco project explores the process of solidification and debates how we perceive solidity and liquidity.
Not much different from an icicle, formed by weather conditions and gravity, the Barocco pendant is created by blowing air and a shift in temperature.
The Bright Barocco lamps seek to preserve the link to their original liquid form, by appearing to be frozen in the middle of the process.
Barocco, which originally meant a pearl of irregular shape, is perfectly imperfect, since it is rich in variation and has the same quality you find in wood, which also varies and contributes with uniqueness to a uniform design.
All Bright Barocco pendants are uniquely customized by a glassblower and come, with a certificate and a personal signature from the glassblower.

Bright Modeco is as mouth blown glass table lamp with a brass base. It provides a soft and diffuse light and creates a warm atmosphere. The lamp is one of out three lamps in the Bright Modeco Family, which all are mouth blown. The lamp comes with a three meter textile cable and is easy to install.
The light source can easily be replaced, since the Bright Modeco lamp comes with a E27 socket. You can choose a light bulb that fulfills your needs. The lamp can be hung in a bedroom, in the corner of a living room or as a part of a bigger installation in a hall way or over the kitchen table. Mouth blown lamps are a central part of Nordic Tales. We find that the process of mouth blowing contributes with a human factor. Something that were much more common during the era of Art Deco. The name Modeco is a contraction of the words Modernism and Art Deco, the two major influencing periods of the 20th century.
Bright Modeco is marking the transition from the latest modernistic influenced period to a new period where a certain level of ornamentation is yet again to be seen. In other words Modeco is Nordic Tales’ first step into a new period where form plays a bigger part.
Modeco seeks to balance both ornamentation and strict minimalism. To bridge the two periods aren’t any easy job, but we have taken the challenge. The Bright Modeco is mouth blown, which is typical Art Deco, but it also has a very cleaver mounting system, that is resonates with ideas from the modernistic era of 21th century.
The Modeco, given its mouth blown opaque glass cover, provides a very diffuse, warm and comfortable light. In other words, Bright Modeco is a good basic illuminator. It can be used in a traditional cafe setting, but you can also bring the cafe into your home.
Bright Modeco can be used in various ways, both as a part of a bigger installation or as a single unit in a corner. Either way you will bring the beloved atmosphere of the 21th century into your modern day life.

The lamp features a woven textile cord with a foot switch and is powered from floor level. It includes a 5-meter wire designed to be mounted to the ceiling, giving the lamp its feather-light appearance.
Helio is equipped with an E27 socket – we recommend using a short, opaque bulb.

Ever since man set to sea, the nautical twilight has challenged free roaming at nightfall. The problem was partially solved in the year 299 BC, when the first known lighthouse was erected in Alexandria, Egypt.
Nautico is an abstract interpretation of the vast creatures of the sea and like all living entities, every single lamp is unique. From the stained brass with its vivid colors, to the bubble inhabited glass.
Nautico is intending to mediate a dialogue between Light House, its inhabitants and the sea. For millennia humans have adapted the sea to our needs by the process of reclamation, but now it seems the tide might be turning and the awareness of our symbiotic relationship is more important than ever.
Nautico was initially designed for the halls of Light House, a prestigious skyrise in Aarhus, completed in 2023.
Nautico is a mouth-blown glass pendant with a distinctive bubble-infused texture.
Each shade is crafted in Europe and fitted with a G9 socket.
The pendant is suspended from a 5-meter wire, while the twin cord hangs freely with no load,
preserving the lamp’s light and floating expression.

The surface of Bright Ripple imitates the phenomena known from nature, as capillary waves, which is the rings that does appear on the surface of liquid, when an object is breaking it. These rings creates a distinct pattern and illustrates the relation between cause and effect, much like Newtons Cradle. This hints at that everything is related, and what happens in south, affects the conditions in north and vice versa – in other words, this an embodiment of the ripple effect expressed on a spherical shape, not much different from a planet.
Bright Ripple is shaped by a mathematical pattern, in strong aesthetic opposition to Barroco, which is unique and amorf. One could say that if Barocco is yin, Ripple is Yang, one cannot be fully understood without the other. Both projects are rooted in nature; Bright Barocco explores natural variation within a set of rules and Bright Ripple journeys the idea of rhythm, patterns and flirts with Fibonacci numbers. Both projects has strong poetic qualities, yet the beauty are expressed in very different forms.
Bright Ripple is classic and Bright Barocco, is baroque. The two lamps are each polemic examples of the two universal aesthetic languages, and between them you have the full spectrum.
